正面描述	Cream-toned note printed by letterpress with an ornate border of interlocking guilloche and foliate scrollwork framing the entire face. The denomination '5/-' appears in bold numerals at both left and right, flanking a central panel bearing the legend 'FIVE SHILLINGS' in large serif capitals, with the issuing authority title set in Gothic script above. Serial number panels with ornamental brackets occupy the upper corners, while date and two manuscript signature lines for the Commissioners of Currency appear in the lower portion alongside the printed line 'FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FALKLAND ISLANDS'.
