Obverse description Cream-toned note printed by letterpress with an ornate border of interlocking guilloche and foliate scrollwork framing the entire face. The denomination '5/-' appears in bold numerals at both left and right, flanking a central panel bearing the legend 'FIVE SHILLINGS' in large serif capitals, with the issuing authority title set in Gothic script above.
