正面描述	The obverse is entirely epigraphic in character, struck in bold Nasta'liq-influenced calligraphy within a plain circular field. The legend is disposed in three horizontal registers divided by raised linear bands, presenting the Shi'a declaration of faith: the Shahada in the upper register, the prophetic attestation in the central field, and the Alid formula acknowledging Ali as the walī of God in the lower register. The relief is high and confident, typical of Safavid hammered coinage of the mid-seventeenth century, with the script nearly filling the flan to its edges.
