The issuer's name appears in Sinhala, Tamil, and English at the top, flanked by the numeral 5 at each corner, while a lotus and floral ornament are rendered in the upper left area. Two signature lines with their titles in Sinhala appear at centre, accompanied by the date 1982-01-01, and the denomination is stated at the foot in all three scripts above the English legend 'Five Rupees'. |
