Flanking the base of the shield are a sun disc to the right and a crescent moon to the left, with a Dhamma Chakra (Wheel of the Law) positioned at the apex. A traditional Sinhalese pūrnakumbha (pot of plenty) adorns the base, all set upon a decorative plinth. The design is rendered in high relief with fine detail throughout the field. |
