| Opmerkingen |
Among the more historically charged notes in South Asian philately, this issue was authorized by the State Bank of Pakistan but circulated in East Pakistan — the territory that became Bangladesh in December 1971. When the Liberation War ended, Pakistani currency already in circulation in the new republic was overstamped or withdrawn entirely, making unmodified examples survivors of an abrupt political rupture rather than orderly demonetization.
Some notes from this series were later hand-stamped "BANGLADESH" by provisional authorities during the transitional period, creating a distinct overprint variety catalogued separately. Examples without that stamp represent pre-war East Pakistani circulation stock.
