正面描述 Green and grey note with an intricate guilloche underprint across the entire field. At centre, an ornate cartouche with Urdu script denomination is surrounded by repeated numeral '5' panels and multi-script value tablets in Telugu, Devanagari, and English. The upper left bears the Hyderabad state seal within an oval vignette, while two serial number sets in red appear along the lower portion flanking a bold prefix and numeral sequence.

An arch motif frames the left edge and a heart-shaped ornament occupies the upper right corner, with the overall composition set against a plain unprinted background.

备注

The Hyderabad Government issued its own currency independently of the Reserve Bank of India — the Nizam's dominion maintained that right until military integration in 1948. Notes from this period circulated alongside British Indian issues but were not interchangeable outside Hyderabad State, a source of persistent friction for traders crossing the border.

The P#S273 series spans nearly a decade precisely because the Nizam resisted adopting central Indian monetary policy at every turn. That resistance ended abruptly with Operation Polo in September 1948, after which remaining stocks were withdrawn and largely destroyed.
