The inscription "CENTRAL BANK OF YEMEN" runs along the upper border in red, with the denomination numeral "5" at each side. "FIVE RIALS" appears in a decorative cartouche along the lower border, all enclosed within a red guilloche frame with ornamental scroll motifs.

备注

Yemen's Central Bank was established only in 1971, and this note belongs to the bank's earliest emission series — a period when the country was still consolidating institutions following years of civil war between royalist and republican factions that had only formally ended in 1970. Bradbury Wilkinson handled much of the Arab world's security printing during this decade, and the Yemen account was part of that broader regional portfolio.

P#12 is catalogued as a single-signature variety, though the series ran with minor differences that occasionally create attribution confusion at auction.
