Aanvullende informatie

Nadir Shah seized power in 1929 after overthrowing Habibullah Kalakani, who had himself deposed Amanullah Khan earlier that year — three rulers in twelve months. The small bronze pul denominations issued under Nadir Shah were among the first coins to restabilize Afghan currency after that period of violent succession. His reign ended in 1933 when he was assassinated at a school awards ceremony in Kabul, making the 1934–1935 issues posthumous continuations struck under his son Zahir Shah but retaining the father's regnal name through the transition.
