| 裏面の説明 | The numeral '۵' (5) in large Eastern Arabic script occupies the centre of a beaded inner circle, with the denomination legend 'پول' (Pul) inscribed above the circle at the top of the field. A spray of two leafy branches curves around the outer edge of the beaded circle, meeting and tied at the base to form a decorative wreath enclosing the denomination. |

Nadir Shah seized power in 1929 after overthrowing Habibullah Kalakani, who had himself deposed Amanullah Khan earlier that year — three rulers in twelve months. The small bronze pul denominations issued under Nadir Shah were among the first coins to restabilize Afghan currency after that period of violent succession. His reign ended in 1933 when he was assassinated at a school awards ceremony in Kabul, making the 1934–1935 issues posthumous continuations struck under his son Zahir Shah but retaining the father's regnal name through the transition.
