| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a stylised football pitch design with radiating lines converging toward the lower right, upon which a large relief soccer ball is prominently displayed to the left. Behind the ball, an outline map of Europe occupies the central and right portions of the field, evoking the continental scope of the commemorated tournament. The curved legend EUROPEAN FOOTBALL arcs across the upper field, while the denomination FIVE POUNDS is inscribed along the lower border. |

Issued to mark England's hosting of UEFA Euro 1996, this was one of several commemorative crown-sized pieces released by Channel Island authorities capitalizing on the tournament. Guernsey had no footballing stake in the competition — the island fields its own team but was not a UEFA member side — making this squarely a commercial issue riding a major sporting event rather than any expression of local participation.
