Descrizione del dritto	The obverse depicts a dynamic battle scene in raised relief showing soldiers of the First Philippine Republic engaged in combat, bearing rifles and a flag, rendered in a bold, heroic artistic style against a mirror-polished field. In the upper portion of the field, a colorized commemorative logo reads '125' incorporating the Philippine sunburst motif in blue, red, and gold enamel, flanking the numeral '5' in red to the right above the denomination 'PISO.' The legend 'REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS' arcs along the left and upper border.
