正面描述 The octagonal zinc flan features a continuous outer pearl border following all eight sides of the coin. Within this border, a circular inner pearl ring frames the central field, interrupted at left and right by small rosette ornaments. The issuer legend VICTORIA WERKE A.G. arcs across the upper portion of the coin, with NÜRNBERG inscribed along the lower arc. The large numeral 5, denoting the denomination, is prominently centered within the inner pearl circle in bold relief.

附加信息

Victoria Werke A.G. was a Nürnberg-based machinery manufacturer that, like hundreds of German industrial firms, issued its own emergency coinage — Notgeld — during the acute small-change shortages that plagued Germany in the early 1920s. These factory-issue tokens circulated internally, often redeemable only at company canteens or against wages, creating closed monetary loops that kept production lines running when the Reichsbank could not supply sufficient coin.

Zinc was the default material by necessity, not preference — copper and nickel had long since been diverted or hoarded.
