Aanvullende informatie

Victoria Werke A.G. was a Nürnberg-based machinery manufacturer that, like hundreds of German industrial firms, issued its own emergency coinage — Notgeld — during the acute small-change shortages that plagued Germany in the early 1920s. These factory-issue tokens circulated internally, often redeemable only at company canteens or against wages, creating closed monetary loops that kept production lines running when the Reichsbank could not supply sufficient coin.

Zinc was the default material by necessity, not preference — copper and nickel had long since been diverted or hoarded.
