| 背面描述 | The central field bears the large numeral '5' enclosed within a twisted rope circle, referencing the masonry trade of the issuer. The surrounding legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' (small change substitute token) arcs across the upper portion of the field, separated from the rope circle by the inner pearl border. Three six-pointed stars are evenly spaced along the lower arc between the rope circle and the outer pearl rim, which defines the coin's edge. |

Andreas Macher was a master mason (*Maurermeister*) operating in Nürnberg who issued this zinc token as private emergency currency — almost certainly during the acute small-change shortage that gripped German cities in the early Notgeld period around 1917–1921. Tradesmen and craftsmen issuing their own scrip was unusual even by Notgeld standards; most private issues came from merchants, innkeepers, or cooperative societies rather than individual building contractors.
The Men18 reference situates this firmly within the specialized Menzel catalog of German private tokens.
