| Beschrijving voorzijde | The city arms of Breisach occupy the central field, depicted as a heraldic shield bearing three rocky peaks rising from water, enclosed within a cartouche with ornate scrollwork at the top. The shield is surrounded by a fine dotted inner circle, with the circular legend 'STADT BREISACH' arching around the upper portion and the date '1918' positioned at the base, flanked by two small stars. A secondary dotted border ring frames the outer edge of the design. This example (variety 57.1A) bears a circular hole punched near the top of the flan, above the legend. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The large numeral '5' dominates the central field, enclosed within a wreath of twisted rope or laurel design forming a circular frame. The circular legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' (small change substitute token) runs around the periphery between two dotted border rings. Three five-pointed stars are evenly spaced at the base of the design below the wreath. A circular hole is punched near the top of the flan, interrupting the legend, consistent with the holed variety (57.1A). |
