| Obverse description | The city arms of Breisach occupy the central field, depicted as a heraldic shield bearing three rocky peaks rising from water, enclosed within a cartouche with ornate scrollwork at the top. The shield is surrounded by a fine dotted inner circle, with the circular legend 'STADT BREISACH' arching around the upper portion and the date '1918' positioned at the base, flanked by two small stars. A secondary dotted border ring frames the outer edge of the design. This example (variety 57.1A) bears a circular hole punched near the top of the flan, above the legend. |
