The legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' (small-change substitute token) arcs around the upper and lateral portions of the annulus between the pearl and rope borders. Three small six-pointed stars serve as stops at the lower portion of the annulus. The reverse design mirrors the austere, functional style of German wartime emergency coinage. |
