A decorative red border band at the top carries the denomination inscription in Gothic script, while the lower band bears the issuer legend 'NOTGELD DER STADT ESCHWEGE' in bold red Gothic lettering. Secondary lines in Gothic script read 'Der Magistrat' at lower left and 'Wird nicht eingelöst.' at lower right, with the monogram 'E.M.2T.' visible near the base of the central vignette. |
