Obverse description The obverse presents a richly detailed letterpress vignette in dark blue-grey ink on cream paper, framed by an ornate decorative border with foliate corner motifs. At left, a standing figure in traditional Bavarian costume rests beside the municipal coat of arms of Traunstein, while the central vignette shows a panoramic view of the town set against an Alpine mountain backdrop. The denomination "Fünf 5 Pfg." is rendered in Gothic script within a scroll cartouche at centre-bottom, flanked by the issuing authority inscription and a manuscript signature at lower right.
