| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is entirely plain and unadorned, presenting a flat, uniface field with no design, legend, or device of any kind. This blank reverse is consistent with the coin's classification as a reverse trial piece, struck solely to evaluate the obverse die design and the striking quality of the planchet. |

Guatemala's 1894 coinage program coincided with the Liberal Reform administration of José María Reina Barrios, whose government was aggressively modernizing the national monetary system following decades of instability. Pattern and trial pieces from this period were produced in white metal as a standard proofing step before committing to precious metal dies, allowing engravers and mint authorities to verify reverse detail and alignment without the cost of silver or gold blanks.
KM# Pn10 is one of very few documented trial survivals from this specific issue.
