Obverse description Portrait of Antonio Nariño in intaglio engraving at left, set within an oval frame against a fine guilloche underprint. A central dark cartouche bears the denomination '5 PESOS PLATA' in bold lettering, with the date 'BOGOTÁ, 1° DE ENERO DE 1941' below. Two signature lines appear at the bottom, attributed to El Gerente and El Secretario, with the imprint of the American Bank Note Company along the lower margin.
