| Obverse description | The current Mexican national arms occupies the central field, depicting the heraldic eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus and devouring a serpent, encircled by a wreath of oak and laurel branches tied at the base. Surrounding the central device, ten historical renditions of the Mexican coat of arms are arranged in a ring, illustrating the evolution of the national symbol through successive constitutional periods.
