| 背面描述 | The reverse features Picasso's Peace Dove rendered in the lower central field, serving as the principal design element. Above, a curved legend along the upper periphery reads AÑO INTERNACIONAL DE LA PAZ followed by a dot and the date 1986. Beneath the dove, a two-line inscription presents a quotation attributed to Fidel Castro: SIN DESARROLLO NO SERIA POSIBLE LA PAZ, followed by the facsimile signature F Castro Ruz. The mint mark appears to the left of the design and the date to the right. The overall design is shared with the standard commemorative issue KM#157. |

Cuba's International Year of Peace coinage in 1986 was part of a broader push by the Castro government to position the island as a voice for non-aligned nations and Third World solidarity during the Reagan era. Trial strikes — known in Cuban numismatic circles under the JMA reference system — were produced in alternative compositions to test die performance and striking pressure before finalizing production specifications. This brass example almost certainly precedes a silver or other precious-metal issue, brass being the standard trial medium at the Casa de la Moneda's contracted minting facilities during this period.
The KM#N/C attribution confirms it never entered the standard Krause cataloguing pipeline.
