Obverse description Central device features the Mexican National Arms in sculpted relief: a golden eagle perched upon a prickly pear cactus, devouring a serpent, all set within a bimetallic aluminium bronze centre. The national legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS arcs along the upper periphery of the stainless steel outer ring, framing the central escutcheon in a composition consistent with the standard obverse design of the New Peso series.
