The issuer's name THE MASBATE CONSOLIDATED MINING COMPANY is set in large block capitals across the centre, above the promise text WILL PAY TO THE BEARER THE SUM OF FIVE PESOS; the foot bears the legend AS AUTHORIZED BY THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT, with SERIES A noted vertically along the right margin.
