TOKEN NOTE is inscribed at the top centre, with the denomination P 5.00 in the upper left and upper right corners. The issuer's name THE MASBATE CONSOLIDATED MINING COMPANY is set in large block capitals across the centre, above the promise text WILL PAY TO THE BEARER THE SUM OF FIVE PESOS; the foot bears the legend AS AUTHORIZED BY THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT, with SERIES A noted vertically along the right margin.
