DECRETO Nº 2.228/1-(SH)-1995 (Translation: PROVINCIA DE TUCUMAN - BONOS DE CANCELACION DE DEUDAS Province of Tucumán - Debt Cancellation Bonds LEY 5728 MODIFICADA POR LEYES 5866 Y 6678 Law 5728 amended by Laws 5866 and 6678 $ 5 $ 5 ARTICLE 1.- Authorizes the Executive Power to issue "Debt Cancellation Bonds" up to the amount of A 20,000,000 (Twenty million Australes), or the updated equivalent values determined at the time of each issuance according to inflation index variations. These bonds shall be applied to pay off debts of the Provincial State, decentralized entities, autonomous agencies, and state-owned companies. They shall be issued to the bearer and will expire on December 31, 1999. ARTICLE 3.- The bonds shall be delivered by the General Treasury of the Province or by decentralized state entities to creditors who accept them in payment of their credits, and can also be used to clear debts with state agencies. ARTICLE 4.- The bonds shall be exchangeable for legal tender currency at 100% (one hundred percent) of their face value at the Bank of the Province of Tucumán (Banco de la Provincia de Tucumán), in the places, times, and terms determined by the Executive Power, ensuring equal treatment among all bondholders.
