| Obverse description | Draped bust of Liberty facing right, wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with flowing ribbons, her hair rendered in long curling locks cascading over the shoulder, in the neoclassical style engraved by Oudiné. The engraver's signature OUDINÉ appears in small letters at the lower right of the bust. The circular legend surrounding the effigy reads LIBERTAD at top, with 5 PESOS, UN ARGENTINO, and 9 D FINO disposed around the periphery, separated by six-pointed stars. The entire design is contained within a beaded border. |
