| Описание аверса | The obverse displays a cruciform arrangement of raised inscriptions set within curved cartouches, all enclosed by a rope or laurel wreath border running along the coin's rim. At the top cartouche appears the denomination '5.PS', flanked on the left and right by the royal monogram 'FER' and 'VII.' respectively, and at the bottom the date '1809' in a curved cartouche. The plain field between the cartouches is divided by four radial lines forming a cross. The overall design is primitive and utilitarian in character, reflecting the emergency coinage conditions of the Peninsular War period. |
