| Reverse description | Blue and sage-green note with a densely engraved geometric and floral guilloche border. A central oval vignette contains the Portuguese royal coat of arms within a wreath, surmounted by a broad curved banner inscribed 'BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO'. Chinese characters reading '大西洋國海外理銀行' appear across the top, with the denomination expressed both in Chinese numerals '伍圓' at either side and in Arabic numerals '$5 $5' below the central vignette. The denomination legend 'CINCO PATACAS' occupies a decorative panel at centre, with 'DILI (TIMOR)' in a cartouche at the foot.
