背面描述	Central design features two traditional Mauritanian musical instruments: a tidinit (a stringed lute) and a tbal (a djembe-style drum), depicted together in the field. The Arabic legend البنك المركزي الموريتاني (The Central Bank of Mauritania) arcs along the upper periphery. The Gregorian year 2017 and the denomination 5 OUGUIYA in Latin characters appear in the lower portion, flanked by small stars. The entire design is framed by a decorative geometric border of traditional Moorish motifs running around the inner edge of the heptagonal flan.

附加信息	Mauritania's ouguiya is one of only two currencies in the world not based on a decimal system — five ouguiya equal one khoum, an arrangement retained from the country's monetary restructuring at independence from France in 1973. In 2018, the country redenominated entirely, introducing a "new ouguiya" worth ten old ones, which makes coins from this 2017–2018 window transitional issues struck just before that reform erased the old unit of account.
