A small oval countermark of Charles XII (CC XII) has been applied to the right side of the field, authenticating and revaluing the host coin. The date of the host coin appears in the lower field, below the crowned cypher. The overall composition retains the baroque style of late 17th-century Swedish coinage, with the countermark punched clearly and deliberately into the obverse. |
