| Obverse description | Central field bears the large Arabic numeral '٥' (5) as the denomination, flanked on either side by the dual dating: the Hijri year (١٣٧٧) to the right and the Gregorian year (١٩٥٨) to the left. The Arabic legend 'جمهورية مصر' (Republic of Egypt) arcs along the upper portion of the field, while the denomination legend 'مليمات' (Milliemes) appears below the numeral. The coin is bordered by a fine reeded rim with a beaded inner circle. |
