A bold ornamental border in black frames the note on all sides. The central text, set in Fraktur blackletter script, reads 'Gutschein über Mk. 5.— (Fünf Mark)', followed by the place and date 'Harburg, 11. November 1918.' and the issuer name 'F. Thörl's Vereinigte Harburger Oelfabriken Aktiengesellschaft'. A manuscript signature appears below the issuer name, and a red letterpress serial number is printed in the upper right corner. The printer's imprint 'F. C. Bertram, Harburg.' appears in small type at the lower left margin. |

| Opis rewersu | Plain white paper with a simple repeating oval-link ornamental border in black. The central text, in Fraktur blackletter script, contains the redemption notice stating that the voucher will be redeemed from 2 January 1919 at the local branch of the Hannoversche Bank, and must be presented for redemption no later than 1 February 1919. A faint violet stamp impression appears in the lower centre. The red serial number is visible in mirror impression from the obverse at the upper left. |
