The issuer's title in Gothic Fraktur script heads the central panel, beneath which the serial number appears in red, followed by the denomination "Fünf Mark" in large bold Fraktur lettering flanked by numeral "5" at each side. Below the denomination, a block of legal text in Fraktur script sets out the conditions of acceptance, validity, and redemption, dated Aachen, 4. November 1918, with two circular official seals — one for the Oberbürgermeister and one for the Kreisausschuss — and two manuscript signatures at the foot. The printer's imprint of Aachener Verlags- und Druckerei-Ges. appears at the very bottom margin. |
