The central vignette comprises three heraldic shields arranged side by side: the left shield bears the Bavarian lozengy arms with an eagle, the centre shield displays a rampant lion atop a decorative ewer or vessel with the date 1642, and the right shield repeats the eagle above a wheel, together representing the civic arms of Marktredwitz. A two-line redemption notice in letterpress appears at the foot. |
