At upper centre, the large numeral '5' is set against a vertically lined panel, flanked on each side by horizontal bands of ornate floral rosette guilloche. Below, a horizontal decorative cartouche in letterpress carries the word 'MARK' in bold Roman capitals between two large rosette ornaments. A three-line redemption notice in Fraktur script occupies the centre field, and the lower margin bears the inscription 'Großherzogtum Baden' in Fraktur. |
