| Popis rubu | Printed in blue and black on plain paper, the reverse carries a central cartouche with a rosette-and-guilloche underprint bearing the denomination '5 FÜNF MARK 5' flanked by 'MARK' on each side. The issuer's name 'STADT ALFELD (LEINE).' is set in bold at the top, with a serial number to the upper right. Below the central vignette, a block of German text in Fraktur-style type states the redemption conditions, specifying the deadline of 1 February 1919. Decorative fan and foliate corner ornaments frame a simple ruled border, and the printer's imprint 'J. C. KÖNIG & EBHARDT IN HANNOVER' appears at the foot. |
