A central oval vignette presents a detailed line-engraved view of the Geyerswörthtor gate and bridge over the Regnitz river in Bamberg, framed by an arched cartouche inscribed 'Fünf Mark' at the top. Large decorative numeral '5' figures occupy each corner, flanked by bold foliate and floral scroll ornaments.
