| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed head of Hieronymus facing left, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with carefully detailed curling hair swept back from the forehead and secured by a royal diadem whose ends trail behind the neck. The portrait is youthful in character, with sharp facial features and a slightly receding chin, consistent with the brief reign of this young Syracusan king. The field is plain, and the coin's irregular flan edge is characteristic of the hammered coinage of the period. No inscription appears on the obverse. |
