| Description du revers | The obverse facade of the Central Bank of Malta headquarters building in Valletta is rendered in fine architectural detail at centre, showing its classically proportioned stonework elevation with arched doorways, pilasters, decorative cornicing, and a central pediment bearing a sculptural device surmounted by a flagpole flying the Maltese flag. The inscription BANK CENTRALI TA' MALTA is engraved across the entablature of the building. The legend REPUBBLIKA TA' MALTA curves along the upper periphery within a beaded border. The denomination Lm5 appears prominently in the lower field, flanked by the engraver's initials NG at left and the date 1988 at right. |
