| Descrição do anverso |
Intaglio-printed portrait vignette of Bulgarian painter Ivan Milev occupies the left-centre of the note, rendered in deep red tones against a fine guilloche underprint with floral and geometric motifs. A multicolour holographic strip runs along the left edge, incorporating miniature vignettes including a second portrait of Milev and the numeral 5; to the right of the main portrait are decorative elements drawn from Milev's own paintings, including birds and foliate forms, alongside his facsimile signature and dates 1897–1927. The numeral 5 appears in large letterpress print at the lower right, with the bank title in Cyrillic running vertically along the right margin and two signature lines — Управител and Главен Касиер — at the lower right. |

| Descrição do reverso |
The reverse is dominated by a richly layered, multicolour collage of motifs taken from Ivan Milev's iconic paintings, rendered in orange, teal, red and grey tones over an intricate guilloche background. A central stylised female figure in traditional costume — drawn from Milev's celebrated icon-influenced works — is surrounded by serpentine forms, floral elements and geometric patterning typical of his Art Nouveau and Symbolist style. The numeral 5 and the denomination inscription appear at lower left, with the bank title in Cyrillic along the left vertical margin and the forgery-warning legend in script at the upper left. |
