A large intaglio historical battle scene occupies the full centre of the note, rendered in fine engraved detail and depicting the Battle of Trinidad of 11 November 1827, with combatants engaged in close fighting across a rural landscape. A framed caption cartouche at lower left identifies the scene. The denomination "CINCO LEMPIRAS" appears at lower right, with the bank title at top and the printer's imprint at the lower right margin. |
