Obverse description	Multicolour note with a pastel guilloche underprint in pink, green, and blue tones. The national arms of Honduras appear as a detailed intaglio vignette at left, surrounded by the legend of the republic. A fine intaglio portrait of General Francisco Morazán faces left at right, identified by his name printed below. The large numeral "5" in ornate guilloche occupies the centre, flanked by the issuing bank title at top and denomination inscription below, with three facsimile signatures and their respective titles along the lower centre.

Reverse description	Multicolour note with a pastel guilloche underprint. A large intaglio historical battle scene occupies the full centre of the note, rendered in fine engraved detail and depicting the Battle of Trinidad of 11 November 1827, with combatants engaged in close fighting across a rural landscape. A framed caption cartouche at lower left identifies the scene. The denomination "CINCO LEMPIRAS" appears at lower right, with the bank title at top and the printer's imprint at the lower right margin.
