| Reverse description | The reverse presents a frontal half-length effigy of King George V the Brilliant of Georgia, depicted in richly ornamented royal robes decorated with repeating crown motifs. The king wears a jewelled crown and holds in his raised left hand a gilt balance of scales, symbolising justice, while his right hand bears an unfurled scroll inscribed with text in Asomtavruli script. In the upper left field, a two-line Asomtavruli legend reads 'გიორგი ბრჭყინვალე' above the regnal dates '1299–1346' rendered in Arabic numerals. The reverse field is scattered with small dove devices, and a beaded border encircles the entire composition. |
