| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features a stylized depiction of an early medieval Georgian throne or royal seat, rendered with a dotted border and decorative detail evoking manuscript and goldsmith traditions. The throne design is framed by an arched inner border flanked on either side by ornamental foliate sprigs. The denomination '5 ლარი' (5 Lari) appears in Mkhedruli script along the upper left periphery, with 'GEORGIA' in Latin characters along the upper right. The legend 'საქართველო' (Georgia) in Mkhedruli script runs along the lower periphery, while the date '2023' is inscribed in the lower central field beneath the throne motif. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a formal, frontal bust of King Bagrat III, first king of a unified Georgia, shown wearing an elaborate jewelled crown and richly ornamented royal robes with intricate scrollwork, rendered in a style evoking Byzantine iconographic tradition. In his outstretched left hand he holds a model of a Georgian Orthodox church, symbolising his role as a builder and patron of the faith. To the left of the figure, a gilded coloured insert depicts a historic Georgian golden chalice adorned with relief figures of saints. Above the chalice, the Mkhedruli legend 'ბაგრატ III' identifies the subject, with the regnal dates '975–1014' inscribed below in Latin numerals. The composition combines selective gold-coloured application on the chalice insert with otherwise fully struck silver relief. |
