Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Mehmed V (Reshad), rendered in fine relief with characteristically intricate Ottoman penmanship. To the upper right of the tughra appears the Arabic inscription denoting regnal year 2 (سنة ٢ رشاد). The design is framed by a decorative border of alternating crescent and star motifs encircling the field, with an inner beaded border and an outer reeded rim. The overall composition reflects the established aesthetic of late Ottoman silver coinage.
