| Popis líce | Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic tughra (imperial monogram) of Sultan Abdülhamid II, rendered in high relief with its characteristic looped and vertically extended strokes. To the upper right of the tughra appears the honorific epithet 'el-Ghazi' (the Victorious) in Arabic script. The regnal year number appears in Arabic-Eastern numerals below the tughra. The entire design is enclosed within a distinctive scalloped or lobed inner border, surrounded by a beaded outer border interspersed with five-pointed stars and small floral ornaments, typical of late Ottoman milled coinage. |

The legends are arranged within a scalloped lobed border identical in style to that of the obverse, and the surrounding field is decorated with a beaded rim punctuated by five-pointed stars and small floral devices, lending the coin its characteristic Ottoman aesthetic. |
