Pattern strikes from the Royal Norwegian Mint in 1963 were part of an extended internal evaluation period before Norway's 5 krone coinage was finally standardized. Larsen P49.1 sits in a small cluster of copper-nickel trials produced that year, most of which never left official hands. The distinction between pattern and proof here matters: these were working tests, not presentation pieces.
